This project is designed for your data science students to develop AI models that can distinguish between human-generated and AI-generated audio, addressing the pressing challenge of protecting artists from unauthorized use and deepfake threats. The proposal includes options for students to focus on a Singing Voice AI Detection, Spoken Voice AI Detection, and/or Generative Music AI Detection models, allowing them to tailor their project work to their interests.

We believe this initiative aligns with Sound Ethics’ mission and can provide your students with invaluable real-world experience in ethical AI practices. I have attached a pdf project proposal for your review. We have developed similar datasets and done some different types of detection training internally. I am available if you would like to meet or to answer any questions and explore how we can support your department and students.
